In a groundbreaking shift, Forbes Magazine has released its 2022 list of the world's billionaires, revealing that 12 individuals under the age of 30 have made the cut, including four self-made entrepreneurs. This marks the first time since 2009 that every billionaire under 30 has inherited their wealth.
The youngest billionaire on the list is 19-year-old Kevin David Lehmann, who inherited his fortune from his father, Guenther Lehmann, the co-founder of the German drugstore chain dm-drogerie markt.
The other three self-made billionaires under 30 are:
1.Sam Bankman-Fried, 30, co-founder and CEO of cryptocurrency exchange FTX (net worth: $26.5 billion)
2.Brian Armstrong, 39, co-founder and CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase (net worth: $9.6 billion)
3.Jihan Wu, 39, co-founder and CEO of cryptocurrency mining company Bitmain (net worth: $4.7 billion)
The remaining billionaires under 30 inherited their wealth from their parents or grandparents. This includes Warren Buffett's granddaughter, Nicole Buffett, who is worth $2.7 billion, and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos's son, Preston Bezos, who is worth $6.2 billion.
