The WNBA's playoffs are officially underway, with the top four seeds advancing to the semifinals. The Las Vegas Aces, Chicago Sky, Connecticut Sun, and Washington Mystics all secured victories in their respective first-round matchups.

Aces Dominate Dream, Advance to Semifinals

The Aces, who finished the regular season with the league's best record, made quick work of the Atlanta Dream in the first round. Las Vegas swept the series 2-0, winning by an average of 22.5 points per game. A'ja Wilson led the way for the Aces, averaging 27.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in the two games.

Mystics Edge Liberty in Three Games

The Mystics, who finished fourth in the regular season, faced a tough challenge in the first round against the New York Liberty. Washington dropped the series opener but bounced back to win the next two games and advance to the semifinals. Elena Delle Donne was a force for the Mystics, averaging 21.7 points and 8.7 rebounds in the series.

Sun Sweep Mercury, Advance to Semifinals

The Sun, who finished second in the regular season, also swept their first-round matchup, defeating the Phoenix Mercury 2-0. Connecticut won both games by double digits, with Jonquel Jones leading the way. Jones averaged 20.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in the series.

Sky Survive Storm in Three Games

The Sky, who finished third in the regular season, faced their toughest challenge yet in the first round against the Seattle Storm. Chicago dropped the series opener but rallied to win the next two games and advance to the semifinals. Kahleah Copper was the hero for the Sky, averaging 23.3 points and 7.0 rebounds in the series.

Seminars Set, Aces Face Sky, Sun Play Mystics

The semifinals are set to begin on Tuesday, August 29. The Aces will face the Sky in one semifinal matchup, while the Sun will take on the Mystics in the other. The winners of the semifinals will advance to the WNBA Finals, which are scheduled to begin on September 12.
